Overview

The Department of Computer Applications was established in the year 1997, The Bachelor’s degree was established in the year 2014 initially the department had Bachelor’s degree programme in Computer Applications.
Later, the department was upgraded with the addition of Bachelor’s degree programme is pioneering in nature and it was started by having a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
Bachelor of Computer Applications BCA(Hons) programme was established in the year 2021. The programme impart in-depth knowledge of computer applications, information technology theory and programming practice by exposing them to various domains like digital computer fundamentals, computational thinking, Linux/Unix Programming, programming in C, data structures, Java Programming, data base managements systems and security In this programme courses are designed with a purpose to provide opportunities and a medium to transform themselves into Industry in versatile filed of IT professionals. The thrust areas of BCA(Hons) programme are Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Cyber Scurity.
The curriculum of this collaborative degree program aims to ensure that the students graduating from the program not only know the core topics of Computer Science but also develop a positive reception of Mathematics and Cognitive Thinking. The students are also exposed to advance topics such as Big Data Analytics, Machine/Deep Learning, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Robotic Process Automation, Software Testing, DevOps etc. to make them industry ready at the end of three years of study.

BCA Eligibility and Selection

Eligibility towards Admissions – Undergraduate

Pass in 10+2 with 50% marks and Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

Step 3: Photo and Signature Upload
Photograph Image: A Recent Passport Size Photograph ( in .jpg format with Maximum size 80 KB).
Signature Image: Size should be between 10KB to 200 KB with the dimension of 3.5 CM X 1.5 CM.
**For Photograph, the background must be plain white or off-white. The Head must be directly facing the camera with your full face in view. No hats or head coverings, unless you wear them daily for religious purposes. Your full face must be visible and your head covering cannot cast shadows on your face.
